Sealing the Ceremony
To close the ceremony the priest sprinkles holy water over every object including the people with a special wisk.
Holy water is prepared before the ceremony by placing a wax candle on the edge of a ceremonial bowl so that the melted wax drops in the water. When making holy water, the priest asks for blessings in the name of the Buddha, Dhamma and Sangha (bringing in another Buddhist element to the ritual). When the incantation is over, the priest dips the candle in the water, thus completing the rite. Divination can be done by observing the wax formations in the water. The drops are interpreted as prosperous if beautiful like small flowers.
